    movie_cd1.avi movie_cd2.avi vs folder.jpg

    if I have a folder with 2 .avi files, that are part of the same movie, how do I get the Movie Library to show/play these correctly?

    You have to merge them with a program like VirtualDub.

    Going to assume you have ac3 audio for both avis, that actually makes it easy.

    Open VirtualDub

    In the Menu Bar Select Video -> Direct Stream Copy
    In the Menu Bar Select Audio -> Direct Stream Copy
    File->Open Video File (select part 1)
    File->Append AVI segment (select part 2)
    File->Save As AVI

    That should do it (hopefully).  You might want to move the split avis to a safe place outside the movie library if you need them again (like if something doesn't work).

    Thanks, I guess that would be the last resort!

    But I would almost rather just make 2 folder for them, if there is no way to get mediacenter to recognise that they are part of the same movie ....? (anyone)

    I guess this is one for the wishlist :)

    Having the same issue and tried everything that I can think of.  I think the only option (so far) is to merge the files as suggested previously.
