I have a Dell XPS 420 with a 512 meg video card and a 42 in HP Plasma TV.

I have several issues and it all sounds like I have a lemon TV but I wanted to get some feedback from the group.

The XPS connects to the plasma via a DVI to HDMI converter cable

Issue #1 is that I inconsistently get vertical bands showing up on the display. 

            I have changed out the DVI cable and plugged the TV into another power strip on a separate circuit.

Issue #2 is that I will inconsistently get pink showing up in the highlights of whatever is being displayed.

I have also connected the XPS 420 to a LCD 40in and do not experience the problems.

Any suggestions?

There is a known issue with some of the HP plasma TVs.

HP extended warranties on the affected models an additional year.

I do have one of the units that is covered and I do have one of the issues they describe.  I will contact HP tomorrow and see if I am still covered.

Thanks again for the link , HP came out today and replaced the board.

How did you find this on HP's site?  I did a search and could not find this alert?  I want to see if there are any other known issues.

Microsoft's Live search found it.  I recalled reading about the issues somewhere.
