    S1Digital is hiring - want to join us?

    Want to join the S1Digital team? S1Digital is growing and looking for an individual who can join our team as a full time technical support manager

     

    About us:

    S1Digital is a leading Media Center manufacturer. We’re a direct Microsoft OEM (so you get access to lots of fun goodies that they keep sending us) and we’re at the forefront of a growing and exciting market. S1Digital is a small, but growing company and we’re extremely serious about producing the best digital entertainment solutions on the market. We provide exceptional customer service and our products are robust and well designed. We work hard, but we also like to play hard.

     

    S1Digital is (currently) located in Rochelle Park, NJ off Route 17.

     

    Responsibilities include:

    ·                Building and assembly of systems

    ·                Managing help desk and responding to customer support requests via email and phone

    ·                Inventory management, ordering and RMAs

    ·                Participating in product development and R&D, including beta testing new software and hardware releases (before anyone else!)

    ·                Attending trade shows

    ·                Conducting training for customers

    ·                Other duties as required

     

    About you:

    ·                You ideally have a bachelor’s degree in a technology related discipline and/or technical certifications are a plus

    ·                You know how to build PCs intimately

    ·                You know nerdy technical stuff like the difference between RAID 0, 1 & 5; all about Intel motherboards; what bitstreaming over HDMI means; Where you could find drivers for Intel, Nvidia and ATI products; what True2Way is; what Blu-ray profile 2 is; how to connect a Media Center to a TV and a receiver; etc...

    ·                You have no problems writing and speaking English and won’t have any hesitations speaking to customers

    ·                You have an excellent sense of humor which means that you laugh at all of my jokes (the other people in the office aren’t as funny, so you don’t need to laugh with them (you can laugh at them though))

    ·                You must be able to work autonomously, but as part of a team.

     

    Salary will be consummate with experience, but will be typical for help desk support type of positions (look on Craigslist for other examples if you want to see a range).
