I just noticed that when I record shows on MCE 2005, I get a yellow line on the left side of the video. It's only visible during playback, but not during the live showing. I also notice one thing; it only happens on channel 4.1(NBC digital - LA County).

I've used WMP 11, Media Player Classic, and of course MCE 2005 to play the video. All of them showed the yellow line during playback.

I have a Hauppauge 1800, MCE 2005 SP2, eVGA 9600 GT videocard, and nVidia Purevideo Decoder Platnium.

Other channels I record are fine; perfect quality, it's just NBC that has that problem. Maybe it's the network, or some hardware?

That's a weird one. Since it only happens on one specific channel(that doesn't make sense), I have no idea what that would be. Try reinstalling windows from scratch.

Is this on HD 16:9 video or just SD 4:3 letterboxed material?

There was a station here in Chicago that for the longest time had a yellow line down the left side of its 4:3 letterboxed programs, on the left edge of the picture but on the right side of the black pillar..  Eventually, they upgraded to some other equipment and the line went away.

So I'd say it's not you, it's them.

I tried reformatting, but same problem. The yellow line doesn't go away.
