Is there any way to have more than 5 extenders on one VMC?

Looks like some OEMS like Niveus have figured out how to do it, I'm not sure if it's a reg hack or an update that MS only gave OEMs to enable if they want.

What I find interesting is the following quote from the CEPro CEDIANews article "Niveus, Lifeware Stretch Media Center with Support for 8 CableCards, 10 Extenders":

"For everyone else, Media Center supports only four CableCards and five Extenders (active Extenders, that is – only five can be used simultaneously)."

So, should we infer from this that we can all use more than five Extenders, just not more than five can be in simultaneous use?  What I'm also curious about is if Niveus/Lifeware have upgraded the MoBos in these systems to dual NICs and then have then teamed and load-balanced (though ideally you should also have the ports on your network swtich teams and load balanced if you want single IP presentation)...

Yes, that's always been the case, you can add as many as you want but only 5 active at a time.

That's good to know.. I doubt most people know that the 5 extender limit is only for active NOT connected.. I know I didn't..
