Return from S3 Stabdby Causes Reboot

    Hi all,

I have a new build on a Gigabyte G45 motherboard, E8400, 4GB RAM, Vista x64 and 4x1TB drives. The only cards fitted are a FloppyDTV-S" tuner and a RocketRaid 2320 controller. I have the system going into pure S3 with the remote no problem at all. The remote tries to bring it out of standby but, 90% of the time, I get a black screen for about 30s and the the system reboots. Sometimes, it resumes correctly after about 30s but this is rare and the sysem is a little unstable thereafter. I tried removing each card. The tuner made no difference at all and the controller subjectively made things a little better but the basic problem still exists.

I have tried the MCE Standby Tool but can't seem to shake the 'reboot on resume' problem. I'm not trying to do anything clever - I just want it t ogo to S3 when I say (with the remote) and come back with the remote - that's it. Hopefully someone has seen this before and I would really appreciate and advice or guidance on this one. No effect standby meanss low WAF!

    Regards
