    Live tv Video Renderer Setting

    Hi I got 40" lcd..  in live tv they what look like a small bit of ghosting but its not.. media center does some nosie removel and deblocking..  How do I change the setting.. ?  I try looking every where can not find any thing..

    Hi,

    Firstly make sure you running at the native resolution of the lcd.  In the menu of the LCD there is usually options for picture noise reduction or similar that supposedly enhances the picture quality, one by one disable them and check if there is an difference in the picture..

    Pinnacle Hybrid Pro PCIe 3010ix
    ati 2400 with hdmi with sound
    tv is a sam a656 40 lcd
    I try some recording with ffshow mpeg2 decoder and they no ghosting.. it looking like mce is using power dvd v7.0 mpeg2 decoder..  

    what I need to know is how I change mpeg2 decoder to ffshow or some thing better.  I was using media portal before but my dtv dont work with it.   i still what to use powerdvd v7.0 codec but dont like the denoise stuff.. if I what that my tv can do it

    I did find a fix http://home.comcast.net/~exdeus/ati-hd2x00/

    some bug in ati driver

    You can set the preferred decoder for MCE using this utility from Microsoft.
