    DirecTV TVLand Channel Change

    Hi!
Seems like its been about 2 weeks now but the TVLAND channel for DirecTV changed from 301 to 304 and it's not showing up in the guide yet.  How long does it usually take for the guide to catchup?

    Thanks!

It can take up to 2 weeks, but you could manually change it by going to settings->tv->guide->edit channels
    My VMC setup:
    (2) Xbox360s
    System 1 -
Dell XPS410 (2.6Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram,Nvidia 8600GT, Blu-ray internal, HD-DVD external (X360 drive), (2) Vboxx DTA150s (OTA HD), Adaptec Dual Tuner (fed a steady diet of DirecTV... sadly NOT in HD)

Thanks - I did that but you don't see what shows are on.  It just says "Data Not Available".

You have to add the guide data to that new channel.

According to my investigation, it looks like this has been updated. Can you confirm?

    Re: DirecTV TVLand Channel Change

It appears to be fixed... and how I seem to know now something has happened to the EPG...

I get one of those "sceduling conflict" messages with no conflict found.

I noticed the guide has changed somehow.

Chris are we any closer to solving the EPG issues with DirecTV?

What are the DirecTV issues you are referring to? Do you have a pointer to a thread?

Basically, every time Zap2It adds a new channel I tend to lose something... the last time it was BigTenHD. Not that its a real loss, but it is indicative of the issue.

What tuner configuration do you have? Can you give me the headend ID details from the "About Guide Listings" page?

    Re: DirecTV TVLand Channel Change

As of last night - it was not fixed for me.  Could these be because I created my own channel 304?  Right now I can watch the shows but the EPG just shows "no data available" or something like that.

    Thanks!

Since the original issue here was resolved, I'm going to move this to Completed Issues.

Please start a new thread for additional reports.

I'm sorry but I started the original thread and my last post was:

As of last night - it was not fixed for me.  Could these be because I created my own channel 304?  Right now I can watch the shows but the EPG just shows "no data available" or something like that.

So how can you say it's closed?  For me, as of 6:41AM on 8/17/2008 I still see "No data available." when I look at channel 304 in the EGP.  As I mentioned before I can click on the channel from the guide and can watch TVLand but I cannot see what is on the station.  It just shows one constant "No data available." message.

    Any other suggestions?
