I have a Acer idea 500 connected to a Sony  Bravia widescreen TV via a HDMI cable. If the TV is switched off for above 5 minutes when switched back on the screen is blank. I have to completely power down the media centre by keeping my figure on the power button and then re-booting.

I get the same behaviour when hitting the sleep button and switching the TV off. The media centre should be able to brought back from sleep but alas it looses the picture and the screen is bank.

I have tried several things with the TV and media centre but only option seems to be a hard reboot and make sure the screen is switched on before the media centre.
