Heres a little dilemna I've been having:
I've added a nice sum of movies from my personal collection to my mediacenter/HDD by ripping the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files and putting them into folders aptly named after the ripped movie. When I first started I had a 500GB External HDD and had seperated the movies by category. (IE. Action, Adventure, Drama, Horror, Sci-FI, etc.)
Well needless to say I've filled up that HDD and started on a second one, but in order to keep the organization of the "categorys"; the file structure is different on the second HDD. I've hidden the second drive from MCE so that the only drive that comes up under "My Videos" is "MOVIES 1".
Now heres my little trick: to retain the organization; I make "Shortcuts" to the movie folders on MOVIES 2 and put them under the category they belong on MOVIES 1. My only problem is; unless I navtigate to the folders and open the shortcuts manually in Windows Explorer first; the shortcuts won't actually show up in MCE.
Anyone know a way to get them to automatically show up so I don't have to navigate the shortcut first?
Anyone else have a setup like this? :)
