Re-map the channel, in MCE go to Settings > TV > Guide > Edited Guide and remap it to the FoodTV channel.

The food channel 231 is a shared channel, in the MCE guide you will see two channel 231's , one listing is HD and one listing is not.

    Ah!

I will check it out. It is interesting that the number only shows up once when viewing the guide (SQL group by query?)

Thanks. I'll let you know if I get it fixed.

    I actually see 3:

    [231] Food....
    [231] Food...HD
[ ] Food... (yes, blank channel number)

If I select the HD option, I get the wrong guide for the SD channel.

If I select just [231] Food.... , the channel disappears from my guide

If I select [231] Food.... AND [ ] Food...., I get the correct listings, until the next time the guide auto-downloads, then I have to go re-select the blank channel to get the guide listings back. I rebuilt my machine because of this, and on a fresh build, it's still exibiting the same problem. When DTV first introduced the new lineup, most shared channels had some sort of problem, and this is the last one I need to clean up.

I have this EXACT same issue. Blank channel number and all. Clicking on both 231 and the blank food one gives me the listings until not too long later and it's gone.

How do we fix this? I keep missing Good Eats.

Re: Vista Guide DirectTV Data for FoodTV wrong

I am seeing the same thing now on all DirectTV HD shared channels.
If I set the HD channel up it works and I can see the data in the guide, if I  download a new guide and the data is still there for the shared HD channels, but after some time (maybe a day or so) the HD guide shows no data, and I have too set the guide up again.
I will see if I can lock this down in the Epg folder.

Since no one responded here, and I dread calling Microsoft support, I just go in every day and re-add the channel.

I had a similar thing happen with ASTC HD channel it would reset guide, I had to edit one of the sub folders in epg folder to fix it.

I will see if I can fix the shared HD channels, I will post back here.

When the change first happened, I also had the problem "globally" -- one thing that helped was that some channels "want" to be on the "HD" channel, and some "want" to be on the "SD" channel. Very few other channels seem to have differing schedules on the HD/SD channels, so it's not been an issue for me -- FoodTV is the only channel that both "wants" to be on the "HD" channel, and has a different schedule for that channel.

The shared HD channels are still reseting back and giving me no data in the guide, works for a day or so then the guide goes back to no data for the shared HD channels.
One interesting thing if I go into the setings>TV>guide then just edit only one HD channel all the HD shared channel show up with data(for a day or so).

PS I have not had anytime to look into is more, soon as I get more time I will.(I have got the family here and they are all using with the Media Center, no time to test it).

Re: Vista Guide DirectTV Data for FoodTV wrong

I am not sure if my issue is the same as you all, but I thought that I'd post. VMC guide shows channel 231 as Food TV HD (I chose the HD version in Guide Edit Setup), but when clicking on it, it takes me to the SD version of Food TV. In the direct TV box guide (Outside of VMC display) the food tv HD is channel 231-1... so obviously, it is most likely the root of all problems...
    Any suggestions, from anyone?

Re: Vista Guide DirectTV Data for FoodTV wrong

I am awere of the xxx-1 :) (like channel 231-1) on channels, but the problem I have is on all shared HD channels without xxx-1 (like channel 244).

The MCE guide reset its self after day or so, back too SD channels in the MCE guide.
