Media Center 2005 keeps displaying "No TV signal"

    Hi

I wonder if there is any one who can help me with a problem with my XP Media Center 2005. I had this for a few year, but the motherboard failed, and I replaced it with a FIC media center motherboard. The new board works well with lots of inputs, output, but will not work with any TV card. After replacing the motherboard, Media center came up with "No TV Signal" It must be that the TV card drivers don;t like FIC mothereboard, so I replaced it with a Leadtek DT2000 card, This card work fine with it's own software, but displays No TV Signal in Media Center, even though it tunes in all the channels. There is nothing wrong with my digital signal her in the UK, as other set top boxes work fine, and as I said the card works fine with it own software. I have tried my old card and this has the same fault. Something in Media Center is wrong and although it is happy to tune in the channels, when I go to My TV it seems to think there is no signal. The software that cames with the card and Windows Media Center must be using something different to determin the signal level, and Windows is getting it wrong. Has any one any idea of where the problem is.

    Regards

    Jon

When you replace a motherboard it's best to install a fresh copy of windows to avoid issues like this.

Thanks for you help, but the Windows version I had didn't come with a Windows disc, only a backup (Packard Bell) and if I try to reload this, it will not load. I think there is amother partition on the HDD which has Windows, but I can't access it.

Hi - was there any solution to this problem as I have something similar? My system randomly says "No TV signal" - one minute it's working - next it isn't. Tried reloading drivers, replugging arial, rebooting - to no avail. Then it'll just come back on it's own. Any solutions? Any diagnostics available?
