Sorry to repost but it is more appropriate here than in the Vista forums
I've seen a couple requests for using the native apps (i.e. Movie Library) on custom strips this so you go: http://mikinho.com/wmc/start-menu-plus/
Note: I only tested on W7. I know it will not create the custom strip in Vista but the entry points will work if you use another app to add them to a start menu strip
I basically modified an existing app I wrote. This one will create a new Start Menu Strip called "Favorites" with the below entries. You can use WMCC to move them already or hide the strip using HideMediaCenterStrips but the entries will be available for use now in custom strips.
- Play DVD
- Movie Library
- Video Library
- Music Library
- Picture Library
- Radio
- Recorded TV
- Live TV
- TV Guide
The app can actually handle any of the following but I only had it create the above by default: FMRadio, InternetRadio, LiveTV, ManageDisks, MovieLibrary, MorePrograms, MusicAlbums, MusicArtists, MusicSongs, MyMusic, MyPictures, MyTV, MyVideos, PhotoDetails, RecordedTV, RecorderStorageSettings, ScheduledTVRecordings, Slideshow, SlideshowSettings, Start, TVGuide, Visualizations...
I plan to merge the functionality of this, Media Center Launcher (mcrun) and Hide Menu Strips into a new app that will manage all your apps and start menu strips.
Let me know if it is useful.
