Yougle - Does it work in Vista Media Center?

    Folks,

I've installed Yougle in my Vista Media Center and the interface shows up and I can see the YouTube coverpage with the video samples, however when I select one and try to play it the video maximizes to fill the screen and then disappears.  I've tried both the embeded and non embeded choice in the set-up screen and that didnt appear to make a difference.  Can someone give me some tips to get this working?

Kinda wondering my Microsoft never included this type of functionality as a native component of Media Center.

    Thanks!

It used to work, last time I tried it however, it was minimizing media center when playing you tube videos for some reason I seem to recall. Not tried it in a long time. Another option for You Tube videos in media center is to purchase the PlayOn UPnP software and install the VMCPlayIt add-in.

I was using this app and sort of gave up on it, it's a great app though. There are 3 options for the method of playback, native, embedded, or stand alone (something along those lines) you can try changing those to see if it helps I also had buffering issues. I'm using Boxee for Windows or Zinc to access YouTube video now.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'm not against paying a few dollars to get my Vista Media Center to show YouTube, however it seems redundant to have to install the PlayOn UpnP product just to be able to get YouTube to show up in Media Center.  That PlayOn product looks like its almost a standalone media center product by itself...  Is there a cleaner, more direct way to do it?  Am I missing something here?  Does Microsoft not want us to be able to access YouTube from Media Center?

If all you really want is YouTube in Media Center you can also use Google Chrome to create an "application shortcut" (http://www.nirmaltv.com/2008/09/03/how-to-set-up-application-shortcuts-in-google-chrome/ )that sends you to http://www.youtube.com/xl (youtube's 10' interface). Then use MenuMender to add an entry point for it. It takes some tweaking, but I've managed to get it working on my system.
