pipplo:So obvious (maybe?) question:
Whats the difference between Movie Library and Video Library, other than the conceptual difference between say a TV show and a Movie?
I don't necessarily see the whole benefit to having the 'Movie' Library and the 'Video' Library completely.

Ask Microsoft. :)
I suspect the thinking is that a "movie" initially was being defined as something stored as a DVD folder structure. Everything else would be defined as a "video".
This seems to be the case still, even though Microsoft has added native support for a number of new formats which are generally used for movies (feature films, if you will).
This is evidenced by the inability of the Movie library to reliably show anything other than DVD folder based content.
This is being discussed in another thread, and it seems to have been concluded that mkv's, mp4's, etc. will show in the Movie Library if there are no DVD folders present in the monitored hierarchy.
The DVD library also does not seem to like xml data from other providers, so if there is, say, My Movies xml data in a DVD folder the library will not pick up or show the synopsis, etc., just the cover art.
