    Tyf:
Just donated some money to you for this very useful app. *:)

    Keep it up.

Thank you very much for your kind donation :)

Let me know if you have any suggestions. Currently, I am working on a way to get the application to disconnect the remote after a certain timeout period...no luck so far, I may have to look into the Microsoft Bluetooth API.

Re: Sony PS3 Bluetooth Remote Application - use this remote in Vista Media Center

Hi, sorry for reviving an old thread.
First of all, thank you Cheetah for the hard work. Your initiative is very welcomed.
I have been searching to find an efficient way to control PowerDVD with a remote control, and chose the PS3 remote option.
I have read thouroughly everything I could find about this method in this forum and others.

I have applied the procedure to the letter that is :
    - Registering my PS3 bd remote as a bluetooth device; all worked well. My BD remote is detected correctly. If I hold the PS3 button for 6 seconds, connection will stop, if i push any buttons, connection is made. Therefore I assume there is no issue there.
    - I made sure I have Framework 2 patched to the latest SP
    - I installed the Sony PS3 Bluetooth Remote Application. I have it running in the system tray.
    - I tried the default mapping with Media Center ; doesn't work. No interaction with the remote.
    - I created a custom mapping for PowerDVD; still nothing.
    - I tried in notepad with basic key mappings, still nothing.
    - I tried with/without SMS input toggled.
    - I checked the batteries of course. But like I said connection / deconnection works flawlessly in Bluetooth device manager.
    - I'm using a bluetooth mouse, therefore I am sure my bluetooth network is fine.

    Am I missing something?

    My specs are :
    - WinXP Pro SP3
    - Dell Inspiron 9400 with an integrated Wireless 355 Bluetooth module.

    Any hints would be appreciated.

    I finally fixed it.
I stumbled in this thread which helped a lot. http://xbmc.org/forum/archive/index.php/t-33806.html

All I had to to was delete my HID Keyboard in device manager and redetect my rermote.

Hi, I'm having problem connecting my PS3 remote to my PC. I following the instruction carefully, I hold the "Enter+Start" button before checking the box and clicking next, but my computer can't find the remote. Can someone please help. Thanks.

P.S. My other bluetooth device work fine, so I know it's not my bluetooth connection that is causing the problem.

Is this working in Windows 7? I have paired my PS3 Remote but the PC receives no input from it. Anyone else having Windows 7 problems? Thanks!

it is works in Win 7 Wink

I think it would be better to change the form with commands to 4 combox with full list of keys (now it is 3 checkbox and one combo)

because it is impossible to assign [Win + P] for example

I am actually working on the application now. I am changing it so you simply press the buttons on your keyboard to map the key. That way you can have exactly what you want.
