    Games

Hi guys... I did a quick browse, so sorry if I missed this elsewhere.

I have set this up and am using it along with Chad’s software to try and run games (racing games running off an Xbox controller) and I seem to have this issue where ill launch the game... it’s in the process of starting when it shuts down and goes back to MC. Thought it might be crashing... but as long as MC is running, it will do it even if I use the games desktop shortcut (as soon as I close MC runs fine)

    Any ideas on this one??

    Thanks all

I apologize for not responding. It can be modified to launch any application but the version provided is not easy to configure. I have not tried Chad's tool to see how that works.

I have a plugin that replaces the functionality of MCRun along with a lot more but I have no idea when I'll release it, probably with W7 RTM, as I'm focusing on Yammm atm.
    Do you Yammm?

I have a lot of HTPC related software "in-the-works". Some may never be completed, others will probably only be useful to a few...

    Re: Games

Problem I am having with approaches that use the mcrun.exe is with applications that use the back button inside them - ZeeTV for example. I have to launch it outside MC so I can use the back button to back up a screen. Is there any way to disable monitoring for the back button (ZeeTV has an Exit on it's menu)?

If you don't need the back or any other button functionality the easiest thing to do is use Advent's Menu Mender to add the entry point for the app and ensure you enable the option for closing the viewport.

    Re: Games

Sorry - this is on W7, and MenuMender doesn't work on W7 or TVPack2008 systems (yet).

HOWEVER - check out this line of announcements about a new version that will do it all!

The download links are broken. Is there somewhere else I can download?

    Thank you

Re: Media Center Launcher (Launch PowerDVD)

Thanks for the link, but W7 gives an error message that the MSI is invalid. Anyone else got it to work, or does anyone have a working link to Media Center Launcher?

Here you go. Sorry, I haven't touched it in over 2 years. If you are using it for PowerDVD7\8 it works well but otherwise they may be a better solution\add-in.
