Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best

    Hi all,

I just release another bugfix version (3.3.5)

    Bugs fixed:

    • Play button of the remote is working again.
    • The personal logo settings is working again - the name schema changed to "sc_radio_my_XXXX.xyz". Where XXXX is the stations Id as displayed at mcShoutCast.
    • Sometimes a LauraFM stations couldn't be played if it was saved as a favorite
    • Focus is set to the "Open folder" at the LauraFM "Action pop up".
    • Fixed some visuall glitches if you changed between a settings page and none settings page.
    • LauraFM stations can be played back again when they were saved as a favorite
    • Within the last version I changed the start up behavior to speed up the start up. For ShoutCast stations I retrive the information (count listeners) when you play the station for the first time - but that information wasn't updated at the UI.
    • If you have no favorites and you wanted to navigate to the "now  playing section", the empty favorites list was focused in between so it was needed to press the arrow down key two times.
    • If you saved a ShoutCast station with some unusally first letter (#Music.Main) the station couldn't be played.
    • In some situations the sorting/grouping of the favorites leads into duplication of stations

    Kind regards,

    Sörnt

    Hi Sörnt,
GREAT! Program. I have just one question. I notice my visuals work on my MEdia Center computer, but not on my extenders (XBOX 360) Is there something I have set incorrectly, or does it just not do that yet?

    Thanks,

    -Dave

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best

     Sörnt,

Great plugin, have been looking for a Shoutcast plugin that would work easily, and found it here... The only thing I am having a problem with is something that looks like was posted a few months ago. I have a Linksys DMA2100 extender and initially the top menu, Favorites, Shoutcast, LauraFM and Options, is visible but slowly fades away have clicking through the app a few times until it has totally disappeared. The only way to get it back is to totally exit out of MCShoutcast and re-open it. It sounded like there was a fade option that was added to the app that might be causing this. The other thing is I notice that song information, song artist and title, show up when running on a PC, but don't show up on the extender. Not sure if earlier versions did, but not showing up on the newest version. Thanks for a great program!

    Hi,

I bought this week a XBox for testing mcShoutCast. I fixed the song and artist information. Another update is on the way. I don't have the fading problem at my PC and not at the XBox.
Looks like that I need repleace the fading with somthing else.

    Hi Bishop_74,

can you please be more specific with "visuals". What is different compared to your PC?

    Regards,

    Sörnt

    Hi all,

I just release another bugfix version (3.3.6)

    Bugs fixed:

    • Song and artist information will be updated also for extenders.
    • Another try to fix the "menu fading away problem".

I really need some feedback from those users which had the "menu fading away problem". Since I never got that problem at my PC nor at the XBox 360 - I am not sure if it is solved now.

    Kind regards,

    Sörnt

I think what bishop_74 is referring to are the visualizations (random, circles, bars, etc.) that work in Media Center on the PC but not with the extender. I am using Linksys DMA 2200 and have the same problem that is no visualizations through the extender but works ok on the PC.

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best

    Hello Namxnam,

what I did at the "WorkerThread_MediaPlayLoadStream" is a simple call to media center to play (Microsoft.MediaCenter.MediaCenterEnvironment.PlayMedia(...) ) the stream. That is for me a unusally error message, the error happend inside of some MS code.

Are there also some other error messages or is that allways the same?
Is it possible for you to figure out some pattern when the error happens? Is it allways the same station?

    Regards,

    Sörnt

Its always a 'pipe failed to close' error message.  It always happens on changing channels.  I have not noticed if it is the same channel - but I will have a  play to see if I can find a pattern.  I will let you know (probably not today though).

    Thanks.
