Re: New vmcNetFlix Add-In for Vista Media Center

    Posted a new version:

    Release Notes Beta 1.0.2.0:

    • Modified detail text, should be easier to read now.
    • Fixed random gallery items showing up in the Delayed Viewing gallery.
    • Added "Go To FullScreen" button which will be displayed when there is media playing in the background. This provides a way to get back to the movie from the vmcNetFlix application.
    • Added numbering in each of the gallery selections.

Right now, it only installs in "Program Libraries" under "Online Media".

You can right-click on it within Program Libraries and add it to the start menu. I did this and it showed up to the left of Program Libraries in the Online Media section.

eluttmann1, how does it handle multiple episodes in one title?

I tried watching a BBC show tonight, which on the Netflix site has 4 separate episodes, but from withing the plugin I can see only the main title, then when I click play it, it runs through the first episode, then it ends, and it doesn't seem to know that there are others.

Right now I doesn't support multiple episodes.  I'll look into adding it, same thing with TV series.  As a work around, right now, I use Search to find them and play them from there individually.

Okay, I see what the issue is with episodes ... right now it will only play the first one - supporting all episodes will be the next thing on my list to do.

Yep, definately an oversight on my part ... I've got some ideas on how I want to implement the episode stuff, but it will take a little time to get it done right - maybe I can get something out early next week.

Can't wait. Once this is taken care of, this, IMO, will be nearly perfect plugin.

Funny, I've started watching a lot more Netflix Watch Now lately..., TV be gone:-)

    I like it...

    1) Very easy to install!!!
    2) Great looking UI
    3) Love the download to watch later feature.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with to improve some of the episode fuctions.

    THANK YOU!!!

It's good to hear your enjoying the add-in ... nice to know a few folks are using it =)  I'm sort of going on the assumption that "no news is good news" - that folks mostly have something to say when something not working right.

The plan is to get something out soon to, at least, provide access to the single episodes for both "Watch Now" and "Watch Later" features - this would be a short term fix.  Later I'd like to implement some "episode grouping" features, but that's going to require changes which would take longer to implement.

By the way, I was going to change "browse instant" to "watch now" because the term seems to be used and understood more - now I really like your term "Watch Later", so I'll probably be changing "Delayed Viewing" to "Watch Later" as well =)
