Sorry I haven't been maintaining that site for a while.  I will try to add it to a different site. Anybody has any recommendations?

Send it to me and I'll host it for you. Also, are you still developing this app? It would be great to combine it with my web service.

Email it to: tim (at) dvdxml (dot) com

Where can I get this app? All the links seem to be broken.

Also a really nice feature would be....

The ability to have all of the DVDs indexed and to be able to enter into your remote the disk number and then push play. For example if I know "The Matrix" is disk number 307, then I just enter those numbers on my remote keypad and I am there....no need to scroll or search.

Thanks for all the work you do.

    Taranu

When you do get a chance to look at this for W7 and AVI files, a few nice to haves would be for it to pick up AVI files without the need to have a Video_TS folder present.

It would be also good if the the resulting dvdid files and DvdInfoCache files used the movie name rather than a DVDID number, as this makes finding, backing up and editing easier if doing something manually (this currently works if you first create a custom dvdid file, but it would be nice to have a naming convention option in DVD Library Manager).

Also allowing null cover tags so that only Folder.jpg is ever used.

    i.e.<largeCoverParams />
        <smallCoverParams />

Here is what is at the above link:

Anyone know an alternate source to download this? Everything on the website listed by the OP gives me an error page.

EDIT: Nevermind -- found it here.

EDIT AGAIN: Scratch that. They just point back to the 404 error on taranu.net.

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This program is just what I needed.

On a few of the selections, when I tried to save it said "Error Updating File."

Anybody know what I need to do to fix it?

Thanks again for a great program.

I figured it out. I already had a DVD_ID.xml file and I think there may have been a permissions problem in deleting the old one so the new one created by DVD Library Manager was having a problem.

Deleted the old file and volia! It is fine now.

I have all my videos/folders set with mymovies.xml data. Is it possible to convert these XML files to make it DVD Library compatible?

Re: DVD Library Manager for Vista Media Center v0.1

This is my first post here so first off hello and I love this site. Loads of info here. Maybe too much in this case. I have been trying to use OML (I think this is the right thread) for a few hours now and no matter what I try it locks up media center when I go to "movies". I have a 32 bit Vista machine dual core 2ghz, 3gb of ram so it should be okay. Is there some common reason for this that I just can't find? Maybe a conflict or some setting I need to change? I've read a lot here but this in one loooooong thread. I don't think it's my machine but I'll try it on the 2.66ghz quad core with 6gb of ram when I get home. It looks like it'll be awesome when I get it to work. One more thing. When I click on "About OML", in settings, it says "invalid application unable to launch open media library" then asks if I want to disable it.
