First off, I wanted to say thank you very, very much to the authors/maintainers of the firewire project. This project is brilliant.. taking two aspects of video (i.e. MCE and 1394) and incorporating them in a very useful application.
However I must say, I am now experiencing a problem with the newest version. I see that Vista support has been added, yet the channel changing is not working via command line.
In MCE2005, the newest version works wonderfully, everything works as it should. STB is fully controlled via firewire with no errors. Typing channel -v works, typing channel -v x xx (where the x's represent numeric value) works, the STB changes channnel as it should.
Booted into Vista 5365, intalled the firestb app., and the program installed and rebooted correctly. The drivers were installed correctly (with the Unknown being disabled per instruction) "My Tray" was in the system tray, as it should be, yet when I went to the cmd line, I was unable to change channels. When I typed channel -v, I saw the same information as I saw typing the command through MCE2005, however, when I tried channel -v x xx (again, where the x's represent numeric value), I got an error saying -
"Response not accepted, or incorrect channel in response Failed to send raw command, 80004005 The operation completed successfully."
Has anyone experienced similar problems?
Does anyone know what the error means, or how to fix it?
Thank you in advance
