    @gggggggggg:

    What you are asking i possible, but needs a whole different level of application. The application what you are looking at here, does a simple conversion. For "black screen" detection, you need stream/image processing, which is not realy on my "to-do" list. maybe in the future, but curtainly not now, sorry.

    I believe MCE has an internal burn program? not sure if this will burn MPG's to DVD though.... (probably not) search the forum for possibilities.

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    I'm reading right now the whole thread, but before I'll give a try of your utility, I think it's a good idea to... make a little, very simple nothing too much elaborated, graphical interface in "Other programs", that can, through a check, enable / disable automatic conversion after tv recording is finished, and, that's my wish, convert a recorded show of my choice, with output by default, in the Video folder. That's because I really don't need to convert every recording, 99% of times I simply watch them, then delete them, just very few recordings I need to convert, like F1 GPs, for late DVD Authoring (with DVD Lab Pro).

    How long does it take for conversion ?

    Cyberlink Power Producer 4 (or is it Power Director ? ), takes 5 min for 4,5GB of dvr-ms.

    keep on working, excellent work !

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    @charger2000:

    There's a graphical user interface on the way (not MCE integrated yet) which can do exactly what you state here. Convert 1 single file, without automation.

    I have a version sitting here to be posted, but I need to fix some cosmetical issues first. It has a lot of bug fixed, and the engine undeneath the hood is a bit more stable. Because of easter, I wont have time before monday to get around to the interface. Sooo, monday will be your day

    It takes about the same time to convert with this. maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more.

    One thing though...  it doesn't has a MCE interface...  yet...

    "When starting graphedit, select "Render Media File..." in the file menu. Then, select a DVR-MS file which you wish to convert."

    Some of the streams in this movie are in a unsupported format.
    Codec problem?

    It uses Pin 1 and 2. If I try to use pin 2 I get an error saying teh filters cant agree on pin connection.
    It uses 'Nero Video Decoder' So I tried to find another one in my filters list. To many to choose from.
    An intresting one is the 'Cyberlink Audio Commericial Cut Analyser'

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    I've been waiting for something exaclty like this for a while now.  It looks very promising.  I downloaded 1.2 just a few minutes ago and I'm getting an error when trying to convert a single file.

    Error
    Converting: d:\downloads\videos\comitted.dvr-ms Could not open output file.

    The dvr file is located in d:\downloads\videos\ and both my input path and output path are also d:\downloads\videos\.   Any ideas?
