New 2005 install now HD channels are gone

This may have been asked already,  so I'm sorry if its already been answered. If so, please direct me to the appropriate thread.

Anyway I decided to move my media box to my other box due to its larger ammount of ram and speed. After installing MCE 2005 and adding the auto updates, only SP3, seemed like it skipped SP2. Now Media center works no problem with my cable signal, but does not recognize the 2 ATSC tuners. I have to Hauppage Dual ATSC/NTSC tuners installed. Is SP3 the issue? Do I need to reinstal XP without it?

    Thanks for the advice.

Although SP 3 has been known to create problems with XP/MCE 2005, I can't answer
the question of whether this is what's causing your specific problem.

What I can suggest is that you search the Hauppague website for the latest XP MEDIA
CENTER 2005 drivers for your particular hardware, then read through & follow any/all
    installation notes.

It also sounds like you will need to run the MCE tuner set-up again and add the ATSC
tuners to the list of attached tuners (when in set-up, you will see some check boxes to
specify which tuner(s) you are setting up)

BTW, the reason you did not see any references to SP 2 when you ran Windows update
is, SP 3 is a complete rollup of all previous MS updates and patches.

You also need the MCE 2005 specific rollups.  Rollup 2 was the last major one.  Oct 2006 was the last minor one.
