"In-Use" indicator on ATI OCUR DCT?

"In-Use" indicator on ATI OCUR DCT?

I currently have just one ATI OCUR DCT that I'm experimenting with.  I have the one PC and two 360's used as extenders.  As you can imagine fighting over just one tuner is a pain, but even worse is when someone else on another extender forgets to stop it before turning off the TV.  Therefore you get the dreaded no tuner available message on the other TVs.

Is there a way (on the DCT itself, or on the PC its connected to) to see if the tuner is currently in use?  Is there a way (from the PC) to disconnect/stop the tuner on the one extender (for use on another) without physically walking into that room and clicking Stop on the extender remote?

You could run the Digital Cable diagnostics. That would interrupt the extender session for you, unfortunately, it will stop all recordings and all extender sessions so it may not be what you want.

Anyone else have thoughts or this?  This has got to be a common problem amongst users like me with multiple extenders.  I can't believe the only solution is to make you physically walk into the other room and shut down the extender manually.  This would suck if its on the other side of the house, or on another floor.

I guess an auto-shutdown on the extender would work.  I use 360s and a couple DMA2100s.  I know the 360s have a setting for auto-shutdown but do the Linksys ones have this?

As with the 360, if they (extenders) auto-shutdown does that make the DCT tuner inactive, i.e. available to other extenders?

My system says no tuner available and list the show the tuner is on. If you navigate to the listed channel/show and select it you will then be able to view the same show as the other extender from there you can take over when you change channel.

Seriously?  I could deal with that. I'll check it out when I get home tonight.  Thanks!
