need advice with expanding my setup

Currently I have a 2005 Media Center with an OTA antenna plugged in along with Directv signal coming in on channel 4 (kinda old school, the media center doesn't control the Directv Box).

I am going to have to buy converter boxes or new TV's soon and want to consider some options.

    1) I would like to have my kitchen TV also be a PC.  I am trying to get WebGuide to work, but having network problems on live TV (recorded shows work fine). - still in process
1b) How well do two Media Centers work in conjunction for recorded content if I make this PC a full Media Center PC to get the live feed?

    2) In other locations I am considering a Xbox as an extender for live feeds, but do you recommend a slingbox type setup instead?

    3) How can I get Media Center to control both my antenna feed and change channels on the Directv box?  I searched on this but the posts are 2 yrs old.  Has anything changed?

    4) I actually have a second Directv box hooked to a single TV.  Can I hook both Directv boxes to a Media Center PC and control both through the extenders so two different extenders can watch two different shows (one from each box)

    5) What is the best remote to use?  I have a Harmony that does well but is IR, I am looking at the Universal Remotes for RF so I can put all of this in one place.

You'll need IR blasters and an MCE usb receiver for the remote to change the box's channels. You should be able to hook both up to a single PC via analog outs, giving each box it's own tuner.

You can set the media center up to watch more than one location for recorded tv. The Harmony 890 does RF.
