    Dual tuner problem

Just completed an OS rebuild of my trusty MCE2005 system, and I added a second tuner at the same time, but MCE only sees one of the two tuners.  I've got the original PVR-250 and added a PVR-150, both are present in device manager, and both are operational and connected to their own STB, but MCE behaves as if there's only one tuner installed.  In fact, if I uninstall the one tuner that MCE was using from the device manager, and reopen MCE, then MCE seamlessly switches over to the other tuner as if nothing has changed.  Quit MCE, uninstall the other tuner that was being used, reinstall the original tuner, open MCE, and the same thing - MCE resumes as if nothing has changed - but no dual tuner capability.

So, if both tuners are installed, and both function on their own, then why won't MCE recognize and use both tuners???  Any ideas for how to proceed?  I've tried the TV Signal setup wizard inside MCE a couple times, but there's never a question to use a second tuner.

    Re: Dual tuner problem

Thanks for the pointer.  I ran MCE Tuner Extender, but it reports that MCE must have at least one tuner installed for it to scan for tuners, and it says to open MCE and run through the setup to get at least one tuner installed.  The problem is, MCE does have a tuner installed and it's working fine, but MCE Tuner Extender doesn't think any are installed.  Strange...
