DD or DTS 5.1 over HDMI in PowerDVD Ultra

Hi, i have Vista x64 with new gigabyte 780 motherboard and the latest powerdvd ultra. I have the HDMI port connected to my Pioneer Reciever. When i try to play a blueray or hd dvd disk, i dont get the dd or dts tracks on my reciever, instead i get stereo sound. Under the audio properties in powerdvd, i only get spdif or speaker number and not HDMI. I tried both speaker number and spdif options but i get no sound. The weird thing is when i do the speaker setup in vista audio control panel and choose dd or dts i get audio and the pioneer reciever show each codec.  In Windows Media Player DD and DTS 5.1 show up fine on my pioneer receiver and i do notice the sound difference.  Can you guys help me out?

    Thanks

with no disc in, go into your power DVD settings and select spdif.  It should come through your HDMI as such.   I messed around with this forever with a disc in the drive while I was trying to change the powerdvd settings.  It wouldn't work until I took the disc out, changed the setting, then put the disc in.

Interesting... I was having the same issue with mine, though I just had the free trial version and thought it had something to do with that. I was going to buy it until I discovered the audio was doing that. I might give it another try since I prefer that player to windows one.
