    Synchronized audio/video playback with extenders

Now Microsoft seems to target the high-end market with Media Center as an alternative for all those costly, dedicated AV systems there is a feature that we as a digital home integrator would like to see implemented as it will allow us to better compete with other products and services.

It is the function that allows you to select the music, video or whatever media for any of the connected extenders or MC and a "party mode" to have all the media played synchronized in all rooms. So you can actually controll all extenders and MC from one place.

I know you can centralize all extenders and use some kind of audio/video switch, but this requires dedicated wiring and extra dedicated hardware. It is not the way to go forward, especially when you look at the trend that extenders get integrated in tv sets.

They've already stated no new update for MCE2005. Just security fixes.

Unless, of course, you mean Vista. In that case, use the Vista forum!
