    Re: RadioTime MCE - Online radio guide add-in

    RadioTime is a great Vista add-in.  I only discovered it when I bought my DMA-2100.  It would be really nice if the TGB had a better way to organize third party add-ins.  Rating them would also be great.

    Re: RadioTime MCE - Online radio guide add-in

    TGB's addin section is horrid and out of date. Nobody keeps up with it. Microsoft supposedly has plans underway to change that, so we will see!
    One thing I hate is add-in authors who make a cool project, then never show up again for support. It's really cool that this radio guy still hangs around.

    I haven't installed this yet, but I will, as long as I'm sure it will work withVista x64.  Does it?  Anybody with any experience?

    Re: RadioTime MCE - Online radio guide add-in

    Hello RadioTime Dave:

    Thank you so much for getting back to me regarding the issues that I'm having with RadioTime.

    I don't know if this is common or not.  As I mentioned, this is the first time I've tried the program and it is quite simple to use and I like the schedule attached to the Internet Radio so that you can record programs.

    I've tried a number of different fixes at my end but unfortunately they haven't work so far.  The problems encountered are:  radio recordings fail or only record a portion of the program, "mrt.exe" or "hung.app" is another problem, 1029 bad internet radio source and more.  All I can do is listen to radio but that's not why I purchased the program for.

    I've been experimenting for a few weeks with different radio programs, e.g. scheduled records and manual records and I only have two (2) that have recorded on time and in full.

    Would really appreciate some support or direction from RadioTime.  I have sent in several technical support requests and have received an acknowledgement to one but no response from Technical Support with a fix -- nothing!

    Hope you can help, thanks

    I don't see anything under more programs.  This doesn'tt work for me at all for some reason.

    Re: RadioTime MCE - Online radio guide add-in

    Oops, spoke too soon.  Now it seems to work.  I didn't realise there are two installation files: an "mcl" file and a file named rtinstall_mce.  So far so good.  Seems to work (at least on my actual Media Center Machine).

    Re: RadioTime MCE

    Hi RadioTime David:

    Thank you so much for helping out.  There must be something interfering with the Internet Source and the recording program "mrt.exe".

    The radio station is BBC7 with Windows Media Player.  Other stations require RealPlayer.  I don't know if that would make a difference other than the fact that I can't receive the others from BBC.

    Will send personal e-mail via GreenButton with my username, etc.

    Dear Radio Time David:

    Thank you for such an awesome application. I only have one suggestion.

    Would it be possible to have the application register to "Radio" instead of "more programs"?

    Thank you!

    Re: RadioTime MCE

    Great plug-in! But I'm having trouble playing web radio streams that are in Real Player format.

    I can play them fine through your website (in IE7), but in Vista Media Center, they wont play and I get the error code C00D11B3.  All Windows Media Player web streams seem to work fine, either through the website or Vista Media Center.

    For example: Two stations that I am having this problem with are:

    * 99.5 BBC Radio 1

    * 93.9 SR P3 - Adult Contemporary

    Any ideas?

    Re: RadioTime MCE

    We don't have the ability to play real player streams from within media center.  BBC Radio 1 actually has some windows media streams which is why you see it as an option but they only work from within the UK.  93.9 SR P3 should work though.  It has windows media streams and they appear to be working fine.  Did you try it from an extender or your media center PC?  The extender tends to be less compatible when playing streams but it should be working ok for windows media.
