Yeah, that takes all the fun out of editing the ehres file.  I noticed there's a lot more stuff to edit this time as well.  If you look at all the xml files that are notepad icons, that seems to be the most places to look for edits.  Once I edit my ehres file, I save it on my server and that way I can reload it if I have to reset my PC.  If anything you can cut and paste your edits back in if something got changed after an update.  The object is to be smarter then the PC.  :)  You said you loaded TVPACK on already installed system.  When you updated did you notice that some menu items didnt reappear but others did?  And still yet again ( the reason for fresh install I think) some items that are new to the menu didnt appear?
