No, it doesn't matter whether you're in admin mode or not - the installer for the addon makes the choice about whether it is installed for all users or not. You may just have to wait until I support it.

An x64 version is coming, I hope - I don't personally have access to an x64 version of Windows Media Center, so it's taking a bit longer.

Yes, MC Menu Mender replaces MC Menu Customiser. Thanks!

    Re: VMC Menu Custimizer

I am still having issues with custom lines not showing up in VMC.

I have created two custom lines, one for movies and one for games. Nethier one is showing up when I open VMC even though I have them created and saved in menu mender. My Movies and Neflix addin which I placed under my new custom movies line are showing up in other areas (Netflix addin is within the TV + Movies menu cat and My Movies is in the programs area.

    Re: VMC Menu Custimizer

I think the issue is that you can have only two custom strips in VMC. This is a VMC limitation. VMC Menu Mender will let you create more than two custom strips, but they will not display.  Menu mender can not (yet) open/edit strips that are created for a single user (e.g. Yougle).  So, in order to delete those strips you would have to remove them using VMC.  Once all custom strips are removed, you can use VMC Menu Mender to add back in the two you want.

Stupid question: How do I know if I created a strip for a single user? I don't recall ever limiting my plugin installs to a single user. Do I need to be in some sort of administration mode or something? Does Vista even have an aministration mode? Huh...

    Re: VMC Menu Custimizer

Could you please post a new Rapidshare (or alternative) link ? The previous one seems to be dead.

This app looks promising. I'm looking forward to try it.

    Thanks

    Re: VMC Menu Custimizer

    Bump.

I'm experiencing the same problem but with the BluRay/HD-DVD launcher on the TV+Movies strip.

This app is discussed here : http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/240311.aspx

Any fix for this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Re: VMC Menu Custimizer

Here are the instructions from the Advent, make sure you match and save the Menu Mender menu and the VMC menu exactally if you already have the issue, then you can make the changes.

    New version, 0.2.4:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/11238840...nder_0.2.4.msi

    Changes for this version are:
    • Fixed problem where links would remain in VMC after being deleted/moved in Menu Mender (thanks to samw97 for his help with this one). If you already have this problem, then you will have to configure Menu Mender so that it matches what VMC is showing, and from this point on everything should work correctly.
    • Tweaked the way languages are handled when writing resource files - hopefully this will fix the errors that people with non-english language packs were seeing (let me know - hard to test this myself).
    • No longer writes to ehres.dll if the changes you made apply only to the registry.
    New release 0.2.5 here

    Re: VMC Menu Custimizer

Thanks Sharp_1. Additionally, if you follow these instructions and you are still having problems then please do the following:

    1. Make sure your system is in a state in which the error/inconsistency is reproducable.
    2. Launch Menu Mender.
    3. Click on the "About..." link in the bottom right corner of the window.
    4. Click on the "Create support package..." link towards the bottom of the about window.
    5. Wait while Menu Mender creates the support package. When it is complete, a message box will tell you the name of the file that was created and give you the option of opening the containing folder in windows explorer.
    6. Post here or PM me, attaching the support package file.

This will make it much easier for me to diagnose and fix any problem. Note that this feature is only available in 0.2.5.

    Re: VMC Menu Custimizer

Adevent have you included quiiq in your testing of this? if not would you be able to see about re arranging the projector so that it can be moved from the main tv+movies strip.

    Always willing to help.
