    ifhima:

Anyone experiencing lip sync issues with video_ts files and OML (using Transcode 360) via an XBOX 360?

I have a Dell XPS 420 with 3 GB RAM connected to an XBOX 360 using a 100Mbit Ethernet cable.  While movies aren't studdering during playback, the audio is not in sync.

This isn't the first time I've seen this.  Odd tho since I have the same setup and it seems to work.  We've been trying to get a hold of Vader and instead use the transcoder.dll/mencoder solution which seems to work better.

Re: Open Media Library - souce posted

    Update on extender functionality:

    1.  Zooming the title in focus still doesn't work for my extender.  No matter what title is selected, it is not enlarged.  There is a slight frame around the cover, but it is not zoomed.  I was forced to enable the fading of unselected titles to see where I was when flipping through titles.
    2.  This version, upon trying to play a movie (xvid in .avi wrapper) via my extender, I receive the error: "Could not find file [location to file] or don't know how to play this file type."

Has functionality been added to this version to allow the user to customize what file types are sent through Transcode360?  I'm using a Linksys DMA-2100 v2 extender that plays xvid files natively.

I'm very impressed that I can have separate settings for each of my TVs.  I like have smaller covers on my 50", while larger ones on my bedroom's 27".  Thanks for this!

Re: DVR-MS working in new version...kind of....

    goofme:
I updated to new version, and I deleted the old database for a fresh start.

The good news is that it now plays all of my dvr-ms files created with VideoRedo.  Woohoo!

The bad news is that it won't load my mymovies export file to get all my movie data.  (Instead I had OML scan my movies drive to grab all the dvr-ms files and album covers).

When I try to import the mymovies database I get the following error:

Unhandled Exception has occured.....Year, Month, and Day parameters describe an un-representable Date Time.

I didn't get this error under the first beta.  Any ideas?

As a follow up, I unistalled the new beta, reinstalled the first beta, successfully reimported my mymovies database, then reinstalled the new beta.  I was hoping to get the best of both worlds this way (proper import plus the ability to play the dvr-ms files).  However, the database had all the meta data as I had hoped, but none of the dvr-ms file locations were linked to the entries in the database.  (Darn!)  However, I can now point to them w/o issue (in beta 2), so I guess it is a good compromise until the date fix is available on the new mymovies importer.

Keep up the good work guys.  This is really cool.

Sorry about that bug in the mymovies importer.  IT IS AVAILABLE :)  As of a few hours ago on the google-code page http://code.google.com/p/open-media-library/  I've posted an updated mymoviesplugin.dll that should fix the date issue.  Drop it in your \program files\openmedialibrary\plugins folder and it should resolve this problem.

Re: DVR-MS working in new version...kind of....

Has Bluray/HDDVD playback from harddrive (via Arcsoft as files, not iso) been fixed in this release?

All my movies are ripped this way, and I unfortunately can't use the app until this is fixed.

can you provide a small zip/rar files that would extract to look/act like a bluray/hddvd for testing?

Sure, I just send you a link to some files you can play with.

In Blu-Ray you should look at triggering the bdmv\index.bdmv file, for starting Arcsoft in MCE mode (uMCEDVDPlayer).
I'm not sure with HDDVD but it could be ADV_OBJ\VPLST000.XPL, as all my HDDVDs has a file with that name, and other names seems to differ.

Well, let me know if I can be of any other assistance! :)

Re: DVR-MS working in new version...kind of....

I just upgraded and I had to post a big thank you to the team.  The new UI customization options are great.  My DVR-MS files that I created with Video-Redo still work.  I haven't tried to add a new one yet.

Just done a fresh install of OML. Copied the new mymovies dll over.  Started the database editor up and then double clicked on MyMovies and get this error ....

System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void System.Windows.Forms.FileDialog.set_AutoUpgradeEnabled(Boolean)'.

Thanks for the updated plug0in, it imports fine.  In my case, I still can not play DVR-MS files and looking at dbeditor, I can see there is no Disc information, it is blank.  Is this because I point only to folders using MyMovies? All my MyMovies MP4's point to folders and they import properly, all my DVR-MS files point to folders and they don't import properly.

I checked the exported file Titles.xml and it does contain the LocationSideA as the UNC path, just like MP4's.  However, the plug-in doesn't appear to import the path (again, only for DVR-MS file types).

Perhaps I need to point to files, not folders.  If they could be fixed in the future, I'll wait.  Thanks again for a great application.

Re: DVR-MS working in new version...kind of....

    Hi all,

Thanks for 0.2b - the UI now looks fantastic and does exactly what I need (once it can be viewd in folder view which I know is coming). Brilliant job. There are a coupel of areas that could be developed further:

    1. When clicking on a movie, you go to the details screen. I'm not a great lover of the reflection thingy but more importantly there aren't the usual VMC buttons such as 'restart'. What I find quite irritating is that if you stop a movie, it does not take you back to the details screen, it just pauses the movie. I would really prefer it if 'stop' would take you back to movie details like in VMC DVD library, along with the missing 'restart' button.

    2. I use mymovies as my main metadata editor. At present, whenever I add a few movies the easiest thing to do is to delete the oml database and reimport. A link to mymovies would be nice but unlikely so I guess the best bet would be an import filter which would pick up art and xml from the movie folders directly (having been placed there by mymovies). It would hopefully only pick up any new or changed ones. As a side note, I still see that themymovies import in readinf 'video standard correctly/at all and that it still fails to import UK parental rating correctly.

I cannot believe the progress made so far and I would like to thank the team for making this available - it's truly superb.

    Many thanks

Re: Open Media Library - souce posted

Tiny update, 0.21b will be going online in the next few minutes.  It basically rolls in the mymovies date format bug with the rest of the plugin.  So, if you already grabbed it then don't bother with this.  We're currently playing with an alpha meta-data plugin so it looks like that will be one of the next items coming down the pike.  taranu (as many would expect) is heading up that front, I'm going to spend some quality time with unit tests cleaning things up and getting to the bottom of these "random" video_ts,dvd,bluray,hddvd issues.  I say random because we're getting reports of it working for some and not for others.

On a last note, please welcome TheSeeker to the project, it looks like he'll be bringing in some cool ifo parsing features that will offer info (and maybe selection) of audio/subtitle/chapter info for dvds.  I know the team is very interested in this so we'll be keeping a close eye on how that goes.  Thanks again for all the support, keep those bug reports coming in (with as much detail as you can offer) and we'll do our best to track them down and kill them.

On that note:  We got a sample mymovies.xml file that was reported to cause a failure (multiple avi files for the title failing to import was the bug).  I'm been writing tests against this and have found that the format is different from what I normally see from mymovies.  If this was your issue, can you please pm me so we can track this down?

    Thanks all!

Re: Open Media Library - souce posted

First Time poster here (new to Vista Media Center)  I tried for months to get Meedios working, but failed :(.

VMC = 1 hr up and running.

I found this OML tonight and all I can say is WOW !!!!  Easy as Pie to import the movies.  The UI looks awesome once you get rid of the black on the side and reduced the covers to 2 rows  (IMO - Please don't be mad lol)

    Questions / Suggestions

    1. Why is it in the TV slip?  MyMovies has its own section.  Is there a way to default into your own section .  Hoipe you know what i mean.

    2. Up top where u have settings, geners, etc.  It seems to be cut off on my screen to the far right.  (4x3 screen).  Anyway to get Parental Controls closer to the beginning.

    3. No search when looking for actors.  I was looking for Harrison Ford so I had to scroll quite far for him :)  Any chance we could select the First Inital?

Now only if you could use someone else XML.  I use Mymovies right now, but what i am finding with them is the movies that are still playing in the threaters you cannot find anything for it.  BUT .....  using something like :  www.movie-xml.com  for instance in Meedios it would grab the info time after time.

My 2 Cents.   Kick A$$ Plug-in.  You have convinced me to stay with Vista.
