Well, if the news is not the release of the first official beta today... you should expect a reaction like MS got with the Fiji news. WE WANT IT NOW!

Release notes for OML 0.1 Public beta can be found at the OML forum.

Please report bugs and findings at the OML forum and they will be dealt with faster.

First problem - granted from a bit of a 'thick' erson though ;)

I double click on my movies in the import part of the database program and it asks me to specify the mymovies plugin, I have no idea what this means or where to find the file it's asking for - can anyone help.

Another "issue ?"

I let the database wizard "scan" the folders, but he found 200 movies of the 300+. All folders are setup identically, thanx to the mymovies backend...

OK - I sorted the mymovies bit - needed to export the xml and then import that into OML.

I notice that it isn't importing 'video standard' correctly though.

Could you post this at our own board and let us know if the movies not found are of a special type (format, codec whatever) and if you have found any other clues.

OML - Open Media Library - Product Manager

Next minor issue - the images in VMC look horribly pixellated - I not that it is storing the original art - it seems to be just the way it's displaying it.

I wasn't really expecting it but I was really sad to see no folder navigation - like VMCs own DVD library, it's next to impossible to navigate 1000+ DVDs without this. Here's hoping for it to be added at some time.

I must say, I tremendously impressed with what's been achieved - it installs (on x64) flawlessly and seems very fast indeed! Well done to all and many thanks.

Could somebody just clarify for me. Does this work on extenders with something like transcode 360?

I think categories is probably one of current highest priorities.

And we're resizing the covers for browsing, when you bring up the details it'll show you the regular cover.  I guess we might need to work on the resizing and stretching ;-)

Keep up the suggestions/issues this is an open source project with some developers behind it that like to listen to the users :)

For debugging purposes we also create a log file... we recently changed where this is being saved... so I actually can't remember... I think its in your user data folder?  I'm sure one of the other developers will chime up with that info but that can be very helpful for us debugging the issues :)

It suppose to ;-)  A couple of the developers have tested with good results but you know how that goes, especially dealing with other 3rd party applications.  If you try and have any issues be sure to report them and we'll get them worked out :)
