Get MC Menu Mender, then create an entry point for Video Browser. You can either create a new strip, or drag Video Browser to an existing one, so it accessible in the most convenient manner for you.

    Great Plug In!

Thanks so much for you work on this Sambo!

I do not have metadata now but have one folder with avi files with the same name with cover art. My problem is that some of the cover art was mis named. My question here is how do you run the search engine again? I renamed the cover art correctly but the default image keeps coming up.

    Thanks again

Great plugin. The only thing I've noticed since installing TV Pack is that when a video finishes it goes a bit funny because the screen with Restart / Delete etc on it has changed.

    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

I cannot get this to install on my clean Vista Ultimate system with the TV Pack installed. I just get a message telling me that it can only be installed on Home Premium or Ultimate, which i have. I had read somewhere that the TV Pack changes the id of the system and some installers will no longer install, is this what is happening here? If so is there any way of fixing tricking it?

    Cheers

Whats the best option for getting the .xml data and pictures in the folders for your video's?

Btw: This plugin is awesome - Among other things it did for us, it solved a storage issue... using the virtual folders - I am able to store blu-ray rips, divx, and whatever other video I want across multiple drives on the network - and see them ALL at once by clicking the "divx" or "blu-ray" button accordingly inside the video browser.... EXCELLENT!

Great - I Can't wait until I get home to try it. I was using MyMovies with XP-MCE, and it was good except for when it ran into a movie that wasn't on DVD Surprise [:O] then it would add something that was completely WRONG.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

New Video Browser Plugin Black Theme

    Sambo,

Again, I love what you have done here!

As I am using the "Black" theme, I would like to eliminate the blue splash that is displayed when Video Browser launches. Is there any way that I could disable it?

    Thanks

    Robert

yep this can be done in the latest beta 2 (see sam's website), edit the following file using notepad:-

"C:\ProgramData\VideoBrowser\VideoBrowser.config" and change the line   <TransparentBackground>False</TransparentBackground> to True, restart vmc and bingo :-).

Re: New Video Browser Plugin Black Theme

I'm having trouble with video browser and divx folders.  I have 500+ divx rips scattered across my network on 3 drives, and I'm using the virtual folder option (divx.vf) to locate them all.  Sometimes (most times) the folder.jpg are squished from top to bottom... And I don't see them all the way down to the bottom on the screen - they are concentrated in the middle of the screen - but squished.

I also have a blu-ray .vf setup, with 150'ish folders, and I do not have that problem when I click on that link.

    ANY ADVICE?

Just to be sure here... and remember the only other program like this I've ever used was myMovies.... This salami's movie organizer - its not automatic correct? You have to sit there for every entry and click it, search imdb, and then click save.... right?

Again, if this sounds stupid - and for those who do not know- myMovies always looks at whatever folder(s) your movies/rips are stored in and automatically gets the folder, poster, and xml data automatically... Its right about 99% of the time - the only downside is if you happen to have movies that are not available on dvd, and the occasional incorrect "match".

hi, i dont think the issue is the number of video files as i have around 300 myself and have no issues when in poster view, possibly your folder.jpg's have funny dimensions?, as a test try copying one of the images you have which displays correctly to a folder that isnt displaying correctly and see what happens. i personally resize all my images to be exactly the same and have yet to see one as you've described.

the only thing it could be related to is the fact your accessing the video's over a network, which im not doing (all files local) so if the above doesnt work then maybe thats the issue?.
