    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

the link on the forum has a "space" (e.g. %20) at the end of it.  Try typing the url into your browser and it should work good.  Smile [:)]

    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

aaah thanks :) FF usually translated them to a more visible %20 for me, but not in this case... might be that beta version. anyway, forum works great :)

    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

Something weird is happening to me.  For some reason, 3 shortcuts that used to display just fine are no longer showing up.

The three are all for compilation dvd's I have.  For instance one is for Buffy.  I have the folder structure set ups:
    Buffy The Vampire Slayer
        Season1
           Disk 1
             Video_TS
           Disk 2
             Video_TS
           Disk 3
             Video_TS

        Season2
           Disk 1
             Video_TS
           Disk 2
             Video_TS
           Disk 3
             Video_TS
    etc...

I then made a shortcut for the main folder and pasted it in my TV folder I had created in the Video folder.  This worked fine for months, and now I cannot get it to work at all.
I can navigate to the folder and get the video to play, but when I try to use it out of the video browser, the shortcut does not come up.  Any ideas?

    Re: New Video Browser Plugin

I restored back to the prior version and it is now working.

I like the fact that the new release allows the system to remember the folder view, but other than that I think it has a ways to go.

I don't like the fact it is no longer black.
The movies folder would freeze up on me
It didn't find all my movies

Is there anyway to just add the code to remember the folder view?

    Davdev,

Can you please look at the latest version of Video Browser, we are really getting closer to a beta. Its taken a while to iron out bugs, but imho stuff is looking really good at the moment.

    Cheers

I love this app but I must say it has taken a spin in the wrong direction. I loved the simplicity of the old black background and layout when selecting the movie. The new one is too busy in my personal opinion.

I hate to say this, but I agree. I really wanted to like this, and hoped that VMC will finally have a great video plugin.

I just tried 1.1.12.0, took one look at it, and then gave up.

With all due respect to Sam and his efforts: The UI of the latest versions is just all over the place, busy, random and getting more and more amateurish, from a design perspective. Too bad, it had good potential.
