Amstrad Sky Box channel change issues with Vista MCE

    Hi all,

Need a bit of advice with this issue.

I'm attempting to set up Vista MCE and getting stuck on the Remote Recognition / Channel Selection stage.

the STB remote is identified OK as is the MCE remote.

I can't change to any channel that starts with a "1". (the sky box thinks it's a "0")

If I tap in 222 for example the IR blaster sends the signal and the Sky box recognises it fine changing the channel correctly

If I tap in "101" or "111" the Sky box either ignores the blasters signal or sky box displays  0_ _ _

However on the MCE set up screen I can see the TV picture and the correct channel numbers display correctly as I tap them in.

This has been working fine in the past but I had to reinstall Vista last week.  No significant changes have been made to any hardware / software.

    Any Ideas ?

    Thanks

Try putting fresh batteries in both remotes and setting up the remote manually.

If the new batteries didn't help, you may want to take a look at: http://www.dusky-control.com/ - I used to use this, and its a lot more accurate than using the blasters.
