Newbie looking for a lot of advise

    Hi,
Firstly I must compliment the level of peoples knowledge within the forum. Credit to you all.
I have just built my first Media Centre PC. Plan to have it connected to my amp, and HDTV (once I purchase it).
So far I have it up and running, have ripped my CD collection onto it and now I am looking for more.
I want to watch Movies via the centre but unsure how I go about this, other than sticking in a DVD. basic advise would be appreciated.
    NEXT.....
I have LOADS of Albums on MP3 format. Is there a particular way of naming the folders, renaming the tracks etc, recommend any software that can help with this?
Also, the images that come up in Media Centre are low resolution, can I better this?

With what I have read here, there seems to be a lot of add ons that you can download, Any recommendations of what the system can do?

Thanks for any advise/support you can give.

    TEK

For your music, make sure it is all tagged including the album artist tag, media centre depends on tags to organise the music. I use an application called mp3 tag tools to tag and rename files as well as album art fixer to tag and download album art.

Install My Movies, this will help you to organise your DVD's and VOB's.

If your mp3's are tagged ok it does not matter what folder structure you have, but for ease of finding music (when copying and ripping in explorer or other apps) why not create a folder called artist name with a sub folder of album title?
