I have a Vista MCE installed and have a GeForce 7300GS PCI Expresss video card.

This is currently connected to my TV via the DVI -> HDMI cable.

The problem I have is waking up the HDTV. When switching to the HDMI channel, the PC doesn't want to initialise the TV. If I put the PC into Standby and the wake up the PC it can see the HDTV.

However this is not a pratical workaround as I can't put the PC into standby if its in the middle of a recording.

I'm using the GeForce Release 175 WHQL - Version 175.16

drivers but this doesnt help.

Anybody have any similar issues or better still a fix? Thanks

I know there was certainly issues with some cards and the hooks they used into the power settings in Vista. I thought it was only the ATI cards that were suffering though.

Just had a look on the nvidia forums, and there are loads of people complaining about this issue though. Might be worth popping over there and seeing of one of the (many) solutions fixes it for you.
