Thanks for the reply....
I'll track down and install the K-Lite x64 pack as well then and report back.
So should I install K-Lite Mega and then K-Lite x64?
If I don't get answer for this next question here, I'll make a new thread...
I'm also having one other issue... this has happened in both 32bit and 64bit Vista through Media Center...
While a video is playing it will pause (both audio and video)... this is random and can happen about 3-7 times during a 30min clip. After 30secs to 1min later, the video will fast forward to the point where the clip should be had it not paused.... the video then goes into slow motion waiting for the audio to catch up. For the audio after the pause, the audio will pickup where it left off and play at normal speed. Once both video and audio catch up to each other the clip will play normally again until the next random pause.
This only happens when I'm using Media Center... if I simply use Media Player or other video players to play the same videos... they play without a pause or any interuption.
Is media center running a bad cache system or trying to load or run things in the back ground that's causing these issues? This is happening on fresh installs of Vista... before I switch to x64, my 32bit VistaMC did this in the first day.... and then never stopped for the last 4 months before I switched to x64... but I've now seen the issue in x64 as well.
Here's my PC setup:
Asus P5N32-E SLI
2GB DDR2 800Mhz Corsair 5-5-5-12
Dual Core Intel e2140
GeForce 7300GT PCI-E
400GB IDE Seagate HDD
XPMCE 2005 never had this issue... and that was built on an older computer hardware... I then installed Vista 32bit and it started having that issue... I then built the new hardware computer above yesterday thinking it would fix the issue... but it has not done so. This problem happens with any video format (mpg, avi,rm,qt,divx, etc, etc). The same network and cards have been used between XP & Vista installs. I've also tried every wireless channel... and even tried wired network access and this has had no effect.
Thanks again,
TK.
