Andy, not owning a Sonos myself so I wouldn't be using this directly, but it sounds great!  Being able to sync the zones (Party Mode) is the main thing I would love to see come to Media Center, next being able to independantly control each room from the same location as it sounds like this should be able to do (assuming you have multiple ZonePlayers).

Great idea/work.

aaronp - the idea would be that this would supplement the zone controller rather than replace it - you could control the zones through the Media Center using an MCE style interface, but you'd probably want a controller somewhere in the house too.  

But what if I'm really cheap?

This really let's you leverage the things that each system is good at.  I like having a 10' interface for my music, but MCE natively does not have a solution for whole-house audio.

Haven't done anything so far, as the number of people who expressed an interest was so small.  I'm sure it's something I'll get around to eventually though.

Another bump from a interested party.

Andy- I am a user of Vista Media Center, Sonos and Life|ware. At this time Life|ware is controlling my lighting and security but does not currently provide integration with Sonos. :-(

I would LOVE to see a Sonos plug-in developed for VMC. You'd be my hero ;-)

I'd be really interested in this - I currently have a three zone Sonos system, and use the handheld remote upstairs and operate from the PCs downstairs. MCE interface would be very appealing... Happy to help test, if this goes ahead. My coding skills are worthless (unless you're planning on using a really old IBM mainframe :-)) but I have done a fair amount of testing etc. over the years.

I'd also like to see this developed, I did contact Sonos ages ago to ask if they had any plans to do a plugin for media center. Which they didn't!
