Hello everyone - here's an update from the Microsoft MCE app marketing team (well, me).

I'm seeing great download numbers of MCE applications from download.com. Since we launched the Media Center section on download.com and the related Media Center Plug-Ins page on microsoft.com last October, your apps have been downloaded nearly 300,000 times (and this does not include downloads of Online Spotlight applications). And that's only 43 apps!

Wait - that's only 43 apps. There are over 100 other applications listed on this thread alone that do not appear on download.com. If your application is ready for prime time and you'd like to see some more traffic, please consider uploading through upload.com. Here are some directions.

If you would prefer to distribute your app through your own site, I'd love to hear what kind of download numbers you're getting so I can brag on your behalf. Please e-mail me and let me know how things are going for you and your application. We also have a couple of places to promote your app on the Media Center website, so let me know if you'd like to be considered for that as well.

besides there is no information about it anywhere. Not TGB, nor your website.

is a satellite plugin for for viewing DVB-S/-T channels through MCE with a DVB application (mytheatre) in the background streaming the picture to MCE..

Channels can be changed within MCE, and EPG information is also shown in MCE.

I was a little boring and so i wrote this html/jscript based calculator plugin
just unpack in any folder and just double click de calculator.mcl file if you like it you can create
a shortcut in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Media Center\Media Center Programs"
to the file calculator.mcl

If you don't like it just throw away the folder into the trashcan and all is gone :D

Looks like Power Compress (PowerCompress) are changing - I asked them when they were upgrading beyond the v1.3.4 I have currently and they said:

Dear Customer,

For the moment we do have an update, but it is for another product.

Power Compress will soon be merging with LIVE! Compress (brought to you by AMD). Power Compress™ had some troubles and bugs threw out 20 months and we brought out LIVE Compress™ and with help of AMD support the software is now more reliable than ever. The main difficulties we had were the Pocket PC and eXtender compatibility. They should now be working with LIVE Compress™. The rest of the remaining features are untouched, it still has the same interface. Furthermore, we are waiting for our systems to be one with PowerCompress™ and LIVECompress™. Soon our older clientele will be automatically updated to LIVECompress™, for the moment we can only credit and ask for you to sign up for LIVECompress™. But if your account is older than 3 months we can only ask you to wait for our systems to be embedded with LIVE! Compress accounts.

On the project site you will find a list of all currently supported network cameras in mceNetCAM. It's no problem to add further cams to the Plug-in. Just read the documentation part on the project site:
