HDTV resolution in Power DVD 9

I just set up my HTPC this weekend and so far everythign is running smooooooooth. I am having an issue with HDMI to my 37 inch LCD TV though. The maximum resolution I can set the desktop to is 1768 x 992. If I set it to 1900 x 1080 it will still show, but it will cut off 1/2 an inch on each side of the screen. This may be an issue with the TV (it probably is) and I'm willing to accept that (I'm going to have to).

This issue happens when I watch a Blu-ray in Power dvd 9 as well (through the MCE add in), even if the desktop is set to 1768 x 992. It will change the desktop resolution to 1900 x 1080 on its own. Does anyone know how to change it so Power DVD doesn't automatically do that?

My hardware is in my sig.
    My Setup:

    ASUS M3N78-EM
    4GB PC-6400 Ram
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 7550
    Hauppage HVR-2250
    LG GGW-H20L Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Drive
    Windows 7 RC x86

You need to adjust the overscan setting in Catalyst Control Center.  First change the resolution of the desktop to 1920x1080, then adjust the overscan until the picture takes up the full screen.

I have the same issue in W7  - desktop at 1080p is fine, but in W7MC it overscans about 1/2". And there is no overscan set in the registry for MC. (BTW changing overscan in the video control panel changes it for EVERYTHING - desktop AND video/live TV)
