Why is msn messenger popping up everytime I start mce? It states it is not installed altough it is installed on the computer, tried settings but can't find the setting to remove messenger from MCE.

MSN Messenger does not interface with MCE2005 at all.

MCE2005 is using Windows Messenger functionality that is built into the OS (Windows Messenger is NOT MSN or Windows Live Messenger. To disable Windows Messenger integration into MCE2005, there is an option in the Settings.

I don't have access to a MCE2005 machine, but it is in the Settings for sure.

Do you know what Windows Messenger faunctionality MCE is using out of it?  For instance, do you if it is possible to get a guide listings or recordings listings text form out of this?
