I have a question regarding Movie Library in Windows 7 and Vista

I see that extenders have an option to delete movie files. Does that mean extenders can delete the movie or does the Media Center PC only have that ability? I'm hoping it's the later as I don't want my movies to be acidentaly deleted by an extender.

    Thanks for the help.

Well it looks like the extender can indeed delete movie files. So it looks as if I might need to button down the hatch on my NAS.

Does anyone know how I can block MCE's from deleting content from certain folders? I've gone through and looked at rights management but I don't see any users called MCX1 or 2.

I needed to address the same issue in my production system.  You are on the right track though.  McxX users are created for each Extender that registers (I now have over 9 because of all 360's I've had to replace due to the RRoD).  These users are created in Vista and in W7.   In my environment, I allow the Extenders to delete recorded TV only.  My NAS shares are set to allow read-only for McxX users on Music, Photos, and Movies.  Hope that helps.
