No Guide Listings - Digital Transition

I guess the trainwreck of the digital transition is beginning. I have VMC with 1 analog and 2 ATSC tuners. I was tweaking the assignment of guide listings to an ATSC channel this morning. I installed all updates and went through "Set up TV signal".

Now I have no guide listings. Is anyone else getting them?

Same problem here in zipcode 60136.  Installed the June 2009 update and now I have no guide listings for all channels.  I'm on Vista SP2 x64 No TV pack and using 2 ATSC tuners.

    What zipcode are you in?

I am in Chicago, 60625. I am waiting till tomorrow at noon. Then I will try to set up TV again. If that does not work, I am gonna go to Windows 7 RC. I've never seen a software self-destruct like this. Pretty interesting.

Area code 92845, Garden Grove, CA. Same thing with the problem today. WMC tried to download updated guide. Got an error message. Tried to use guide set up to get guide for 92845, even punched it in correctly but it kept defaulting to area code 90609. Don't know why it did that. Hoping by tomarrow it will fix itself.

Well I spoke to MS tech support for 3 hours, they don't seem to know anything. I sure hope they fix the problem soon seeing that we use it for all the TV's in the house and they all quite.

For those having problems, did you start having issues after applying the June 2009 update that came out on Tuesday this week?  Wondering if it's related to that or not.

I dont think so, I had 2 computers that were off and not updated. They had problems right off the bat. I think they have done something to the guide info.

I agree with remax.  I have 2 computers, one of which had been updated...one not.  On both computers, a popup appeared stating that an error had occured and that I must rerun the guide setup.  I believe the error appreared when the PC tried to perform an automatic guide download.  After performing the guide setup, the downloaded guide was missing data for the ABC and NBC stations.  Guide data was available for CBS and FOX.

I suspect that Zap 2 It has their xml feed all screwed up. IMO, Zap 2 It has been the weak link in the media center for a long time, providing all sort of wrong broadcast data. So not a surprise here. Is everyone here on Vista MC? Not TV Pack or Windows 7? One theory is that Zap 2 It has fixed stuff for the new sub-channel structure in TV Pack and W7, but in the process broke VMC. But this is total speculation. I recommend waiting til after June 12 and doing a full Set Up TV process. This is something I was going to have to do anyway because CBS is Chicago is switching broadcast frequencies.
