Oh so frustrating, I am just trying to have WMP12 x64 RC consume and add to database my ~73,000 WMA song collection. Each time I try it I leave it churning with its progress bar updating properly. When I eventually come back WMP has stalled out and is sitting with nothing in the default artist area and the app is in a bad state.
The app appears to be suffering from some final resource leak when it stops adding songs to the database; as mousing over the breadcrumb line [library, music, artist] shows blank resource bmps beneath it, same with play, burn, and sync.
This is a pretty serious bug at this stage in the dev cycle. Four other machines are failing similarly when trying to consume these same files over UNC shares. I also have about 10,000 photos / videos being brought into the dbase.
The Zune software appears to be able to add them all but that doesn't help me getting them into WMP or Media Center. Anyone see this or test w/ song collections that large? Thanks -
