After returning from sleep (I think), I lose the right channel on my HDMI setup.
I have an ASUS P5E-VM HDMI motherboard, which includes built-in video and sound. When connected via HDMI to my TV, I simply don't get anything from the right speaker on my TV (after returning from sleep). Otherwise, seems fine (OK, it's a little quiet on DVDs and HD, but that's a known problem).
This isn't limited to VMC, as I can go into "Playback" hardware and click on the left speaker (I can hear the test tone) and the the right speaker (I hear nothing).
If I reboot, I can click on the right speaker icon and hear the test tone.
Using the speaker output on my PC works just fine -- this is limited to the HDMI. I've confirmed it's not the TV's speakers by hooking up external speakers to the TV. Same thing: nothing from the right speaker.
I "think" I have the latest sound and video drivers. I've (almost) positive that I don't have balance settings off. Video works fine (except for reverting to VGA resolution) after returning from sleep.
Any ideas? Any way to force a reset of the HDMI sound after returning to sleep.
