    Meauring Signal Strength/Quality

Have I missed an option in VMC to measure signal quality and strength?

Are you talking about TV signal strength?   My version of Media Center can do that.

Using the menus go to Tasks/Settings, then "TV", then select "TV Signal".  On my system I have "Digital Tuner Diagnostics" as a option here and by drilling down into this screen I can eventually get to a screen that tells me all sorts of info.  My signal/noise ratio is 34 dB (sometimes 35) and my Signal Level is 36 dBmV.  I'm not sure if those are good values but my picture looks fine to me.

    Hope this helps.

Just 'TV Signal'? Under TV the only option with those words is 'Set Up TV Signal'.

Yeah.  Just TV Signal.  It would seem my menu system is a bit different than yours.

On the VMC start menu between "Sports" and "Tasks" I have "Online Media" that has (among other things) a "Learn How" menu item.  Among the items under this are a "Digital Cable Setup" video that shows menus similar to mine -- including the signal strength screen I was describing above.

    Cheers.

VMC only has that for Digital sources. There are no meters for analog sources.

I'm using DVB-T (in the UK) and still don't see the option.

EDIT: Should say I have secured the measurements by using ScanChannelsBDA, recommended to me elsewhere, outside of VMC.
