Playback problems with ATI video cards on CableCard recordings

    Hey guys,

I posted this topic in the other forum, but thought it might be more appropriate for this forum -

    http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/226488.aspx

In summary, I'm having major issues with seeking in Digital Cable recordings when I use an ATI video card.  I do not have the issue when I use an Nvidia card.  Any ideas are welcome.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

Same thing happening here.  I have a Velocity Micro with dual ATI HD2600XT video cards and cablecards from Comcast.  It appears that this began happening after installing SP1 a few weeks ago.  It's quite annoying and if someone could help out this amateur, I might be back in good graces with the wife.  Any thoughts?

Have you spoken with Velocity Micro support?  My PC is an HP and it came with an Nvidia card, so I won't be able to get support from them.  I contacted ATI support about this when I had a Radeon 3850 but was unable to resolve the issue.

The only sure way to fix it that I know of is to use an Nvidia card instead.

I opened a ticket with ATI support on this.  Their advice is to try the Catalyst 8.8 drivers.  I'm going to try that in the next few days.  If you have time, give it a shot and let me know if it helps.
