    Thanks Tip. But this does not work with The Vista TV Pack 2008 (Fiji). Is there a way to get a version that is compatible with the latest Vista TV Pack?

    To my knowledge, Fiji is still beta, and I think we have to wait for a new SDK from Microsoft...

    Could you describe where the problem is (at installation, at launch, when pressing "play all", ... )

    If this is the installation failing its likely because the MCEVERSION is different and the default WiX check (when creating MCE plugins) checks for 5.0, you can change it from = 5.0 to > 5.0 and that should do the trick

    (again, assuming this is a "wrong windows version" install error)

    Very nice. Is it possible to add additional file types. For instance, files with the m4a extension don't show up.

    I added m4a files support in 1.1 version.

    Re: Music Browser plugin -- Browse your music by folder

    Tip;

    Thanks for this great little application, it is a real help.  I use also Video Browser.  Music Browser makes a lot of sense, and I prefer it over MICROSOFT VMC's built-in music monitoring system which is now broken for my three extenders (it keeps telling me it is adding files - even after Linksys DMA-2100 is left on for weeks) after SP1.

    Given the time it takes MICROSOFT to fix bugs and produce updates, I'm scrapping music monitoring and just using your plug-in.

    I really like the ability to sort music by date added, since I usually want to listen to music I've added last to the system (no matter when it was produced).

    Thank you so much for adding in m4a support. Love being able to browse music the way I have it organized as apposed to how MS want me to.Your plugin is all I will be using to play music for now on.

    I checked this out for nostalgic reasons as I always was annoyed we never got an option to view by file name in mce or vmc.

    I properly tagged my collection a while back which took ages.

    This is a nice app though, defintely think it will be useful for people with messy collections that don't have the time or patience to resort all their mp3's. Good Job.

    Yes this is exactly what I was looking for. Wonder why MS doesn't provide this experience built in. It's stupid to expect that all the music will always be tagged and tagged correctly.

    Oh this is too cool. Exactly what I needed for audio podcasts in MCE. I use the Zune software to download them and WMP always screwed up the tags and stuff. This is perfect, I can browse to a folder and pick a podcast. Not sure why that was so hard for MS to do. Har har.

    Am I the only one that doesn't end up with a "C:\ProgramData\MusicBrowser\MusicBrowser.config" path/file afterwards?

    Great initiative there OP.  I've been waitig long time for this feature.
